My better half, Jason, and I have been married for 9 years and we are parents to two crazy little girls, Edy (1st grade) and Elly (Kindy 2018). We’ve been in Happy Valley for 6 years and we’ve loved being part of this community. I worked for over 10 years in leadership positions in the communications industry before leaving to stay home with my girls. I found my true passion as a health and wellness advocate and group fitness instructor.
I love giving back to the community and to others. This role will allow me to do both. I look forward to bringing joy into the staff and children’s lives at HVE. GO COUGARS!!
My husband Riley and I have two daughters, Stella (1st Grade) and Josie (Kindy 2018). Although our family has just started its journey at Happy Valley Elementary, I’m not new to leading organizations. I have served on nonprofit boards in the past and I’ve worked in nonprofit and corporate management for the past 10 years. I currently work at Relay Resources, a nonprofit that trains and employs people with disabilities. I’m committed to volunteer work and I’m excited about this opportunity to serve the Happy Valley family and teacher community. Working together, we can achieve great things for our kids.
My husband Aaron and I have been together for over twenty-five years, and have lived in Happy Valley for the last ten. Becoming parents to our daughter Vivian has brought us so much fun, joy and love, it is hard to believe we thought we had a life before her! We love Happy Valley and are very excited to be raising our child in this community. I especially believe in the importance of volunteering within the community, and I can think of no better place to invest my volunteer time than with Happy Valley Elementary. In my professional life, I have worked for over ten years representing nonprofit condominium and homeowners associations in legal matters and have helped train volunteer community leaders, board members, and industry professionals to help successfully achieve community goals. Four years ago I set up my own law firm in Clackamas and feel so lucky for the work/life balance that has afforded me. I truly enjoy working with people toward a common purpose to achieve things bigger than ourselves, and when necessary, helping to resolve conflict to continue positive momentum. I am excited to be working with the HVE staff, parents and the new leadership group within PTO to see what great things we can accomplish together within the coming years.
My husband, Jack, and I have 4 grown children and a grandson, Aiden, who is in 2nd grade this year. We have been a part of the Happy Valley community for the past 14 years. For the past nearly 30 years, I have worn many hats in the professional world. Currently, I am self-employed as a sign language interpreter and as an office manager for our family business. I look forward to participating in the PTO and hope to give back as much as Happy Valley Elementary has given to our family.
My husband Brian and I have a daughter, Zoe, who is going into the 1st grade. Our first year at Happy Valley Elementary, and also our first year in the community, was a wonderful experience and we're looking forward to another great year. I work in the Grants Department at Portland Community College and enjoy working with people and coordinating events. I've worked with professional development organizations in a variety of roles and really love being a part of my community. I look forward to serving our wonderful school and our terrific families for the coming year!
My husband Jim and I are the parents of Ethan (Kindergarten) and Emeline (future HVE Cougar). While new to Happy Valley Elementary, I have worked in education for the past 12 years, first as a PTO-funded instructional assistant and now as a School Psychologist. I look forward to continuing to build community and parent involvement opportunities through the many PTO events and supporting the education staff from the other side as a parent.
